WFW New York partner Steven Hollander moderates Capital Link panel discussion

Capital Link recently held its Annual International Shipping & Offshore Forum, at the Metropolitan Club in New York City. The event, now in its tenth year, attracts leading owners, operators, financiers and lawyers from across the maritime sector, including Watson Farley & Williams New York partner Steven Hollander, who moderated a panel discussion on “Shipping and the Capital Markets”.

The panel consisted of Ms Christa Volpicelli, Managing Director at Citi, Mr Andrew W. Horrocks, Managing Director, Global Head of Transportation at Credit Suisse, Mr Jeff Pribor, Jeffries LLC Managing Director & Global Head of Maritime, Mr Wily Griffiths, Morgan Stanley Managing Director, Global Transportation, and Mr Eric Schless, Managing Director at Wells Fargo Securities.

The WFW-sponsored event also featured panel discussions on the dry bulk, containers, LNG and LPG sectors, bank and alternative forms of financing, private equity investment, restructuring and opportunities for business and investment as a result, and an overview of the economics and current trends within the maritime sector.

Steven also moderated a panel discussion at Capital Link’s  7th Annual Greek Shipping Forum in Athens in February. The panel discussion looked at the prospects for the shipping industry to raise funds via the capital and the avenues for doing so.
