Watson, Farley & Williams (“WFW”), a leading international law firm, is pleased to announce that it has elected Chris Lowe (head of the firm’s global maritime practice and former head of the Singapore office) and Lothar Wegener (head of WFW’s German offices) as joint Managing Partners.
The announcement follows Michael Greville’s decision to step down as Managing Partner to resume a fee-earning role in the firm’s Finance group concentrating on shipping, oil & gas and energy matters.
Chris and Lothar are set to begin their role from January 15th.
The firm recently posted strong half year results with growth of 12% year on year.
Chris Lowe commented: “I’m extremely excited about this challenge, we are a strong firm, with a distinctive strategy and character and a great deal of potential remains in the business, ready to be unlocked.”
Lothar Wegener commented: “The firm’s half year speaks volumes in terms of our ability to offer high quality solutions to financiers, purchasers and investors across many types of asset class. Our brand is strong across key global financial centres; our challenge is to build on this strength to develop further in our markets and beyond.”
