Watson, Farley & Williams, (“WFW”), a leading international law firm, is pleased to announce that it has advised Zongyi, a major Chinese photovoltaic plant manufacturing group, in the construction of eight photovoltaic plants in Abruzzo, Italy.
The WFW team was led by Milan corporate partner Elvezio Santarelli and included assistants Elena Martellucci, Andrea Ceschina and Federico Fabiano. The team handled the entire project acquisition process, in addition to establishing relations with the manufacturer of the plants and their connection to the Enel grid, which took place ahead of the enactment of the fourth Italian Energy Bill.
Elvezio Santarelli commented: “Zongyi is one of the leading Chinese operators in the photovoltaic sector, with capacity to develop the entire chain, from production of the photovoltaic panels to construction and management of the plants. Zongyi has acquired strong production and technological capacity for the manufacture of thin-film panels, and with this operation has begun implementing its strategy for investment in Italy.”
