Watson, Farley & Williams (“WFW”), a leading international law firm, is pleased to announce that it has assisted the Sofiprotéol Group on its purchase of the Dielna/Agrotrans group.
Sofiprotéol is a French company specialising in investment in projects that support the oils and plant proteins industry through loans and equity investments, while the Dielna/Agrotrans group is an agriculture company which focuses on the manufacture of complementary liquid food for ruminants. As equity investor Sofiprotéol was accompanied by the Glon Sanders group, a leading operator in the agribusiness sector.
Its acquisition of Dielna, and its transport subsidiary Agrotrans, will allow Sofiprotéol to pursue its long-term development and investment strategygiving the Glon Sanders group in particular a competitive advantage in the complementary area of cattle breeding.
WFW Paris partner Pascal Roux advised Sofiprotéol alongside BDO and DJP. He comments: “The food sector is a key industry in France and aside from big groups such as Danone and Nestlé, Sofiprotéol is a key and fast-growing player in the industry. WFW has brought its corporate, finance, contract and property expertise to the deal and we worked closely with the Glon Sanders/Sofiprotéol teams who led the transaction.”
