WFW advises on the acquisition of a 5 MW PV plant in Sicily

Watson Farley & Williams (“WFW”) has advised a Maltese open-end investment company, on the acquisition of the “Villalba” photovoltaic (PV) plant in Sicily, through its Luxembourgish fund.

The 5 MW PV plant, based on a Schletter FS-System, was built in 2011 and has been acquired from the German EEPro GmbH group, an international project development and general contractor, which was advised by DLA Piper.

WFW Italy advised on all legal aspects related to due diligence, drafting, negotiation and review of the relevant contracts.

The WFW team was led by Rome-based Corporate partner Tiziana Manenti, supported by senior associate Luca Sfrecola and by associates Cristina Betti and Giovanni Incardona. The DLA Piper team was comprised by partner Dr. Silke Gantzckow and transaction lawyer Roberto Fordiani.
