WFW advises KGAL on the acquisition of a 40 MW wind park portfolio in France from Gamesa

Watson, Farley & Williams (“WFW”), a leading international law firm, is pleased to announce that it has advised KGAL on the acquisition of three French wind farms. The wind farms Souvigné (near Le Mans), and Quatre Vallées 1 and 2 (in the Marne region) have an installed capacity of 8 MW, 12 MW and 20 MW respectively, although Quatre Vallées 2 is still under construction. All wind farms are or will be equipped with G90X-2.0 MW turbines.

The seller, Gamesa Energia S.A.U., is a subsidiary of Spanish group Gamesa, the world’s leading manufacturer of wind turbines and developer of wind farms. The projects will be held in the “European Sustainable Power Fund 2”, a KGAL fund specifically designed for institutional investors.

WFW advised KGAL on all German, French and Spanish legal and tax aspects of this transaction. Additionally, WFW advised KGAL on certain financing matters.
