WFW advises INVICTO on the acquisition of GAB Consulting

Watson, Farley & Williams (WFW), a leading international law firm, is pleased to announce that it has advised the private equity company INVICTO Holding GmbH (INVICTO) on its acquisition of a majority stake in GAB Consulting GmbH (GAB).

GAB Group, based in Lamstedt and with branches in Heidelberg and Valencia, advises companies in the chemical industry on the regulatory approval of substances and products. It is also a leader in the field of microbial plant protection and plant extracts. GAB’s founder will continue to support the company as an active consultant and 40% shareholder.

Selected family-owned companies, family offices, asset managers and private investors have pooled their resources and networks in INVICTO, in order to acquire majority stakes in SMEs. INVICTO focuses its investments on companies in the German-speaking markets, which have a turnover between €5 million and €50 million.

The WFW team was led by Munich partner Dr. Simon Preisenberger (Corporate). Munich partner Tobias Ackert led on the tax aspects of the transaction, while partner Dr. Nikolaus Krienke (Hamburg/Munich) worked on the employment aspects.
