WFW advises IKAV on new photovoltaic investment in Italy

International law firm Watson Farley & Williams (“WFW“) advised IKAV EE S.a.r.l. (“IKAV”), a Luxemburgish fund specialising in renewable energy, on the acquisition of a 1 MW photovoltaic plant in the province of Rovigo (Veneto Region, Italy).

The plant was sold by an Italian renewables company.

WFW advised on all due diligence aspects of the acquisition, with a focus on regulatory and authorisation issues, as well as on commercial contract matters.

The WFW Italy team advising IKAV was led by Corporate Counsel Carlo Cosmelli, assisted by Associate Francesco Comaschi. Senior Associate Elena Macchi and Associate Anthony Bellacci advised on administrative matters, and counsel Giuseppe Franch on the tax aspects of the transaction.
