Watson, Farley & Williams LLP (“WFW”) has advised Crédit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank, as arranger and facility agent, on the financing of a 2006-vintage Airbus A318-111 aircraft for Air France. The financing included a Japanese operating lease with a call option (JOLCO) and was entirely denominated in Japanese Yen.

The WFW team in Paris was led by partner Charles Viggers and included partner Laurence Martinez-Bellet, assistant Emi Dagogo and trainee Romain Guirault.

Partner Charles Viggers said: “Notwithstanding on-going dollar liquidity constraints, the French banks continue to assert their strength in the aircraft finance market with the arrangement of Yen-denominated deals such as this.”
