WFW advises Cittadino Digital on brokerage agreement with SAP

30 May 2016

International law firm Watson Farley & Williams (“WFW”) advised Cittadino Digital GmbH (“Cittadino Digital”) on its signing of a brokerage agreement with software company SAP. The brokerage agreement enables Cittadino Digital to sell digital advertising space on its customer loyalty app “MoovOn” to advertisers by using SAP’s “SAP Exchange Media” platform.

SAP, Europe’s largest software producer, recently entered the digital advertising market with its new “SAP Exchange Media” software, which creates a direct connection between advertisers and the sellers of advertising space. Based on market research conducted at SAP’s request, 90% of the advertisers and media companies polled would use a new advertising model such as “SAP Exchange Media” which links advertisers and publishers by cloud in order to create more transparency, efficiency and cost reduction.

The WFW team advising Cittadino Digital was led by Frankfurt Corporate partner Dr Torsten Rosenboom. He was supported by Hamburg IP/IT partner Axel Löhde as well as senior associates Sebastian Ens (Corporate, Frankfurt) and Torge Rademacher (Corporate, IP/IT, Hamburg).

The team worked closely  with Nadine Eichler, Head of Legal Projects foraxlaxelCittadino, throughout the transaction.
