Watson, Farley & Williams (“WFW”), a leading international law firm, is pleased to announce that it has advised Capital Stage on legal and tax matters relating to the acquisition of three operational solar parks in northern Italy with a total capacity of 11.2 MWp. The solar parks are located in Parma, Cesena and Forlí, in the region of Emilia-Romagna. The solar parks were connected to the Italian grid in December 2011 and summer 2012 respectively.

The Hamburg-headquartered company Capital Stage AG is the largest independent solar park operator in Germany and has been active in the Italian market since 2011. With the acquisition of the three Italian solar parks, Capital Stage AG consequently continues its investment strategy. Both sides have agreed to treat the value of the acquisition and transaction volume confidential.

The international team of WFW was led by partner Dr. Christian Ulrich Wolf (Corporate/Energy, Hamburg). He was supported by partner Thomas Hollenhorst (Project and Structured Finance, Hamburg) and associates Dr. Jan-Philipp Meier and Stefan Hoffmann (both Corporate/Energy, Hamburg). The associates Carlo Cosmelli (Corporate/Energy, Milan) and Raffaele Villa (Tax, Milan) advised on Italian law.
