WFW advises Capital Stage on the acquisition of a 34 MW wind farm portfolio from European Energy A/S

Watson, Farley & Williams (“WFW”), a leading international law firm, is pleased to announce that it has advised Capital Stage on the acquisition of three operational wind farms in Germany and Northern Italy with a total capacity of 34 MW. The acquisition was effected through the purchase of shares in the operating companies BOREAS Windfeld Greußen GmbH & Co. KG, Windkraft Sohland GmbH & Co. KG and Parco Eolico Monte Vitalba srl.

The wind farms are located in Thuringia and Saxony, Germany, and in Tuscany in Italy. They consist of Vestas wind turbines.

Capital Stage invests in solar and wind farms and is Germany’s largest independent solar farm operator. Its current portfolio contains solar and wind farms with a combined capacity of almost 160 MW.

The international WFW team was led by partner Dr. Christian Ulrich Wolf (Corporate/Energy, Hamburg). He was supported by associates Dr. Ahmad Khonsari and Dr. Jan-Philipp Meier (both Corporate/Energy, Hamburg). Partner Eugenio Tranchino and associate Luca Sfrecola (both Corporate/Energy, Rome) advised on Italian aspects of the deal.
