WFW advised Velocita Energy Developments on its acquisition of the Maerdy onshore wind farm project in South Wales

Watson, Farley & Williams (“WFW”), a leading international law firm, is pleased to announce that it has advised Velocita Energy Developments on its first UK deal – the acquisition of Maerdy Windfarm Limited from Renewable Energy Partnerships.

The Maerdy onshore wind farm project lies at the head of the Rhondda Valley in South Wales, and it is anticipated that the wind farm will have between 24 and 27 MW capacity.

Velocita Energy Developments is a new wind energy company, funded by private equity house Riverstone Holdings, to develop, construct and own wind projects across Europe.

The WFW team was led by Corporate partner, Nick Fothergill, assisted by Daniel Joll (Corporate), Simon Folley (Real Estate) and Sarah Gatley (Tax).
