International law firm Watson Farley & Williams (“WFW”) successfully advised a syndicate of 19 banks led by BBVA on the €503m restructuring of Tuin Zonne, the 131.13 MW photovoltaic portfolio of Grupo T-Solar, the renewables subsidiary of the Isolux Corsán group and one of the largest solar photovoltaic power generators in Europe.

A leading independent power provider, T‐Solar currently manages 326 MW under operation and construction in Spain, Italy, India, Peru, the USA, Puerto Rico, Mexico and Japan, including the Arnedo plant in La Rioja (Spain), one of Europe’s largest with an installed capacity of 34.19 MWp.

The WFW team advising the syndicate was led by María Pilar García Guijarro, Madrid managing partner and head of the Spanish corporate practice, assisted by senior associate José María Anarte and associate Aitor Errasti.

María Pilar commented: “We’re delighted to have advised on a matter that will assist such a key player in the Spanish and European renewable energy sector as T-Solar both achieve greater financial security and boost its market profile with potential investors”.
