Summary
Laurence Martinez Bellet joined the Paris
office of Watson, Farley & Williams as a Partner in April 2005. She
specialises in asset and structured finance, and French and international
leasing (aircraft, ships and equipment). Laurence has acted for banks and
financial institutions, equity providers, aircraft operators, finance and
operating lessors and arrangers. She has experience in structuring, documenting
and negotiating construction, acquisition, leasing and financing documentation
transactions involving principally, vessels, aircraft and industrial
equipment
 
Recent Experience
- Acting for a major French bank as arranger
in relation to the pre-delivery and delivery finance for a Swiss shipowner
to finance the latest cruise ships to be built at Chantiers de
l’Atlantique;
loans are guaranteed by COFACE
- Acting for a French bank in relation to
the pre-financing and financing of the acquisition of a EUR78,000,000 Ro-Ro
ferry by a French shipowner
- Advising a major French bank on the termination
of a $150 million financing of 8 container ships with a French shipowner
as bareboat charterer and the subsequent financing of the French
shipowner’s
purchase of these ships
- Acting for a French bank in relation to
a mortgaged loan for the acquisition of a €11.5 million chemical tanker
by a French shipowner.
