Summary
Gemma Bhargava joined Watson, Farley &
Williams in September 1999 as a trainee solicitor and qualified into
the international corporate group in September 2001. Gemma specialises
in a broad range of domestic and international corporate work, including
group reorganisations, joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions and corporate
finance.

- Advising a Hong Kong based fund management
group on the proposed listing of a hedge fund of funds on the Irish Stock
Exchange and admission to trading on the London Stock Exchange
- Advising an English shipping company on
its corporate restructuring connected with a US$500 million refinancing
facility
- Advising on a private placing to raise
US$1 million for a Kyrgyz gold mining company
- Advising several English companies on court
approved capital reductions and repurchase of shares out of capital
- Advising an English company on the sale
of its stake in an African building society
- Advising a Belgian company on its participation
in a joint venture to operate licences to exploit oil and gas resources
in the North Sea
