Summary
Evan Stergoulis joined Watson, Farley &
Williams in 2002 as a Partner. He is the Head of the International Project
& Structured Finance Group and specialises in project energy transactions
and financings with considerable experience in renewable energy projects,
especially offshore and onshore wind power, and energy trading.
 
Recent Experience
- Advising Dexia Bank Belgium and Dexia Crédit
Local as mandated lead arrangers on the €190m financing for the
construction
and operation of the first phase of Belgium’s first offshore wind farm
project Thorntonbank developed by C-Power. This project is a major demonstration
project for the Belgian authorities and a fundamental part of the
country’s
renewable energy commitment. Technologically novel in this sector, the
project will use 6 Repower Systems 5 MW turbines
- Acting for financier in relation to 90
MW onshore facilities
- Advising Plambeck Neue Energien AG on EUR
103 million bond financing for eight wind farms (140 MW) in Germany to
refinance and the existing project finance debts
- Advising Plambeck Neue Energien AG on the
financing of a large portfolio sale to Babcock & Brown of 30 German
wind farms (300 MW) to be constructed in 2006-2008
- Advising Trinergy Limited on its acquisition
of the 250 MW IVPC 2000 and 120 MW IVPC 6 wind farm projects in Italy and
the 300 MW IVPC 4 windfarm project in Italy and related acquisition and
project financing arrangements
- Acting for Viridis on acquisition and portfolio
financing of 60 MW land fill gas
- Acting for EDL on the portfolio refinancing
of 70 MW of land fill gas assets
- Advised Matrix Securities Limited on the
acquisitions by fourteen limited liability partnerships, by means of a
lease agreement, of fourteen wind farms located in Italy and €1.1 billion
refinancing
