Press Release
New Project & Structured Finance Partner for WFW
14 May 2008

Watson, Farley & Williams ("WFW"), a leading international law firm, is pleased to announce that Mehraab Nazir, a structured and asset finance specialist, joined the London office as a partner in its International Project & Structured Finance Group on 6 May 2008.

Mehraab joined WFW from the London office of CMS Cameron McKenna where he both trained and later qualified in 1999.

Mehraab advises on all aspects of structured and asset finance related matters particularly with regards to aviation, shipping, rail and recycling equipment. His recent experience includes: advising banks and large corporates on acquisitions and disposals of a number of “big ticket” aircraft and shipping leasing companies (with assets worth in excess of £750m) and advising lessors, lessees and manufacturers in relation to cross-border operating lease transactions, as well as advising on debt financing, joint ventures, insolvencies and restructurings.

He has also hosted seminars to audiences of international lawyers on topics including asset financing and leasing in Russia.

Prior to joining WFW Mehraab was on a five-month secondment at Lloyds TSB Bank plc working with the ship finance, rail finance, aircraft finance, portfolio management and structured transaction groups.

Mehraab Nazir comments: “It is a great opportunity for me to join WFW’s well-respected project and structured finance team and being involved in the continued development of the practice. The global credit market makes it a very exciting time to join the firm. I look forward to working with my new colleagues and contributing to the further success of the team.”

Evan Stergoulis, Head of the International Project & Structured Finance Group comments: “We are delighted to welcome Mehraab who adds to the depths of our rail and aircraft asset finance capability and we are certain that he will make a great contribution to the continued success of the group.”
